  • Stroud Wassail - Saturday 14th January: This event is fast becoming one of the staples of our calendar. Come along and Wassail in the new year. It's a huge event in Stroud, click on the link above to find out more.

 

  • Oxford Folk Weekend - Saturday 22nd April: This annual folk festival is very popular and very large! We're delighted to have been invited along again in 2017.

 

  • May Morning - Painswick Beacon - Monday 1st May - 5:30am: The official start to the morris dancing season. Join us to see the sun rise, with our friends Gloucestershire Morris Men. We will also be dancing late morning at Cirencester Abbey.

 

  • Joint Morris Organisation's Day of Dance - Leicester - Saturday 13th May: This annual event takes place in a different city each year and features lots of morris sides of all shapes and sizes. A great day out for all the family!

 

  • South Cerney Street Fair - Monday 29th May: Another regular booking which we wouldn't miss for the world. A lovely, lively, fair including the famous duck race. Come along and join in the fun!

 

  • Rose and Castle Weekend - Ashton, Stoke Bruerne - Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July: Barely controlled morris chaos around the area of Stoke Bruerne. We will be there, dancing in all weathers and all sorts of venues. Great fun!

 

 

  • Sidmouth Folk Week - Sunday 6th August: We'll be dancing on the Esplanade at this world-famous folk festival. Come along and soak up the atmosphere, go to a concert, take part in a workshop - whatever takes your fancy!

 

 

Like what you see and fancy having a go?

 

Our official dancing season runs from May to September, but as you can see, we don't sit on our laurels! We recruit and practice all year round, so if you're interested in joining, you can get more information by emailing us: join@stroudmorris.org.uk

 

We offer a fabulous opportunity for women of all ages to dust off their dancing shoes and have a go at our national dance. We promise fun, friendship and frolicks! No obligation to join, just come along and have a go.
