  • Stroud Wassail - Saturday 12th January 2019: This event has become a popular staple of Stroud's post-Christmas celebrations. Please do come along and join in with the revels. We'll be dancing all around Stroud Town Centre and there is  lot more stuff going on too. Follow the link above to their website for more information.


  • Joint Morris Organisations Day of Dance - Manchester - Saturday 30th March 2019: We always go along to this annual celebration of all morris sides which are part of this organisation. It's held in a different place each year and this year is Manchester's turn, hosted by Medlock Rapper.



  • May Morning - Wednesday 1st May 2019 - Painswick Beacon - 5:15am (approx): The traditional start of the dancing season and a chance to watch us dance in the summer, accompanied by Gloucestershire Morris Men and Miserden Morris.








  • Stroud Morris Dancers 40th Birthday Weekend of Dance - Saturday-Sunday, 29th-30th June 2019: Did we mention we're 40 years old this year? Happy birthday to us! This weekend of dance should be epic, so do come along and wish us many happy returns. Click on the link to find out more.



  • Warwick Folk Festival - Friday-Sunday 26th-28th July 2019: A much-loved and well-respected folk festival and we've been asked to be a display side!


  • Sidmouth Folk Festival - Sunday 4th August 2019: We will be dancing on the Esplanade again this year at this iconic folk festival.    


  • Stroud Folk Weekend - Saturday 21st September - around Stroud: Stroud's very own annual folk extravaganza.

Our official dancing season runs from May to September, but as you can see, we don't sit on our laurels! We recruit and practice all year round, so if you're interested in joining, you can get more information by emailing us:


We offer a fabulous opportunity for women of all ages to dust off their dancing shoes and have a go at our national dance. We promise fun, friendship and frolicks! No obligation to join, just come along and have a go.
