Covid 19

We are pleased to be back and practising weekly, however we are mindful of keeping our members safe and have guidelines in place to manage this. If you wish to come along to a practise it is advisable that you contact us first so we know to expect you. 

 

  • Stroud Goodwill Evening - Friday 3rd December 2021: This event has become a popular staple of Stroud's pre-Christmas celebrations. Please do come along and join in with the revels. We'll be dancing all around Stroud Town Centre including up the High Street! and there is  lot more stuff going on too. 

 

  • Bradford-on-Avon Green Man Festival - Saturday 14th May 2022: This is a family friendly event which we as dancers we enjoyed dancing at in 2019 and are delighted to be invited back. Check out the website for more information as it is added

 

  • May Morning - Sunday 1st May 2022 - Painswick Beacon - 5:15am (approx): The traditional start of the dancing season and a chance to watch us dance in the summer, accompanied by Gloucestershire Morris Men and Miserden Morris

 

  • Jack in The Green - Friday 29th to Monday 2nd May 2022. While some of our members will be dancing at Painswick Beacon others are  looking forward to dancing at this true British May Day celebration held annually in Hastings. 

  

  • Great Western Morris 50th Birthday Weekend - Saturday 25th  and Sunday 26th June 2022.  This event is long awaited - it was originally scheduled for 2020.  We will be travelling south to celebrate with Great Western Morris. 

  

 

 

Like what you see and fancy having a go?

 

Our official dancing season runs from May to September, but as you can see, we don't sit on our laurels! We recruit and practice all year round, so if you're interested in joining, you can get more information by emailing us: join@stroudmorris.org.uk

 

We offer a fabulous opportunity for women of all ages to dust off their dancing shoes and have a go at our national dance. We promise fun, friendship and frolicks! No obligation to join, just come along and have a go.
